THE QUEEN’S DIAMOND JUBILEE
Following an initial meeting of local organisations, individuals and Parish Council representatives on Thursday 2 February 2012 there appears to be a consensus of support for an event based around a community picnic to be held on the Beech Lane Recreation Ground on Monday 4th June 2012.
Investigations are also to be made into the possibility of having a Jubilee Beacon in the village, as part of the chain of beacons to be lit across the country to mark the Jubilee.
A further meeting of representatives of interested groups and organisations (one representative from each group this time) is to be held at the Punchbowl on Thursday 23 February at 7.30 pm.
