Local Information - Help at Hand

West Hallam residents are fortunate to potentially benefit from a number of local trusts and charities.  Brief details of these are set out below:-

The West Hallam Trust - can consider offering assistance to any resident of West Hallam in the case of sickness (including travelling costs for hospital visits) or financial difficulties.  For more information click here.

The Ann Powtrell Foundation - can consider offering assistance to young people under 25 years  who trustees believe are in need of financial assistance - for example with the cost of apprenticeship, following any trade, profession or occupation, or the cost of schooling over and above those met by the state, and in promoting social and physical training for young persons.  For further details and a downloadable application form available click here.

Scargill’s Educational Foundation - can consider financial assistance to persons under 25 years towards the cost of books, equipment etc for university, further education or entry into a trade, profession or calling.  Groups may also apply in respect of members who meet the age and residential qualifications (eg Guides, Brownies, Scouts, Youth Clubs).  Further details and application forms are available from Stephen Marshall, Clerk to the Trustees, c/o Robinsons Solicitors, Market Place, Ilkeston (0115 932 4101).
