The West Hallam Trust- can consider offering assistance to any resident of West Hallam in the case of sickness (including travelling costs for hospital visits) or financial difficulties. The Ann Powtrell Foundation- can consider offering assistance to young people under 25 years who trustees believe are in need of financial assistance - for example with the cost of apprenticeship, following any trade, profession or occupation, or the cost of schooling over and above those met by the state, and in promoting social and physical training for young persons. Scargill’s Educational Foundation - can consider financial assistance to persons under 25 years towards the cost of books, equipment etc for university, further education or entry into a trade, profession or calling. Groups may also apply in respect of members who meet the age and residential qualifications (eg Guides, Brownies, Scouts, Youth Clubs).
