Councillor Carol Hart
I have lived in West Hallam over 30 years and have been a member of West Hallam Parish Council for nearly 14 years. I have been chairman several times and at the Annual Parish meeting held on 3rd May, 2010 I was re-elected to this position. I also represent the parish council on the Ann Powtrell Foundation, West Hallam Trust and the Scargill Educational Foundation.
I also represent West Hallam and Dale Abbey as their elected representative on Erewash Borough Council, I hold the position of Deputy Leader and also Lead Member for Community Services, I have represented West Hallam and Dale Abbey on the Borough council since 2001.
I was elected on to Derbyshire County Council in 2004 to represent the Breadsall/West Hallam ward which includes Little Eaton, Breadsall, Morley, Stanley/Stanley Common and West Hallam. Since the elections in June, 2009 I have held the position of Cabinet Member for Communities
I do not have much time for hobbies but I am still a dedicated supporter of Derby County Football Club and still hold a season ticket, however, due to meetings I seemed to miss more meeting than I attended last season. I also continue to hold the position of treasurer of the Magic Laser Appeal, a charity which raises money for cancer related equipment.

I enjoy all sport and as my portfolio at Derbyshire County Council includes sport I may be able to indulge myself as well as supporting sport in Derbyshire.

Surgeries
I hold a Borough surgery from 6.30 p.m - 7 p.m. on the 1st Wednesday of each month prior to the Parish Council meeting, which is held at the Powtrell Community Pavilion, Beech Lane, West Hallam.
