Many thanks to all of you who got involved in the Trail in any way. Once again it was a huge success, with only positive feedback being received.
£442 was raised, which has been passed on to the Village Hall and Well Dressing committees.
Voting for the Favourite Scarecrow was extremely tight, with only 2 votes separating the top 5 entries!
The winner, by one vote, was “Wallace and Gromit,” situated at 85 High Lane East.
In joint second place were:
“The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” at 31 Derbyshire Avenue and the joint entry of
“Peeping Tom” & “Bathing Belle” at The Rookery and The Bent on Cock Orchard.
Just out of the prizes, but only one vote behind were:
“Mario’s World” at 98 St Wilfrid’s Road and
“Tin Tin and Snowy” at 32 Peveril Crescent.
The two lucky winners drawn from the returned Trail Leaflets were:
Jack Henshaw of West Hallam and
Linsey George of Ilkeston
I hope you all enjoyed participating in the trail, and look forward to hearing about your plans for next year!
Best Wishes,
Pete Lilley

This will be up and running in good time for next year’s event, when you’ll be able to download entry forms, rules, themes and other information.
