Platinum Jubilee Coins for children
We were thrilled to present the Scargill School children with the Platinum Jubilee coins. We appreciate that some West Hallam children may not go to the local school. If your child has not received a coin and you would like one please email the Parish Clerk contact@westhallam-pc.org.uk with your details and we will organise one for them.

Presentation of Commemorative Coins
On Friday 27th May 4 West Hallam Parish Councillors were delighted to dress in red, white and blue and join children at Scargill Primary School for their celebration day. Councillors gave each child a specially produced commemorative coin to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Queens Platinum Jubilee
The Platinum Jubilee is due to be celebrated over a special
extended Bank Holiday commencing on Thursday, 2nd
June with the lighting of beacons across the country.
The Parish Council feel that this is an event that could

Tree planting
Around 40 people (with particular thanks to the 10th Ilkeston Scout Group) turned up to help the parish council plant more than 100 saplings on a bright Sunday morning in March.

West Hallam Parish Council are delighted to be taking part in the Queen's Green Canopy initiative, which aims to plant millions of trees across the country to celebrate the Jubilee this year.
