Erewash Core Strategy Review Amendment - Public Consultation

Erewash Borough Council is undertaking public consultation on an amended Core Strategy Review.

Erewash Borough Council are proposing two sites in West Hallam be earmarked for housing development on existing Green Belt land. The two sites are Beech Lane and High Lane West.

In response to work requested by the Planning Inspector appointed to examine the Erewash Core Strategy Review at Hearing Sessions in June 2024, the Council have published an amended version of the submitted document. This has identified additional housing allocations in the Borough's Green Belt. Amendments are supported by a range of new evidence and these materials are available to view from https://www.erewash.gov.uk/planning/planning-information/erewash-core-strategy-review/core-strategy-review-amendment-consultation. It is important to note that the documents found on this webpage supplement the evidence which already exists as part of the Core Strategy Review's Examination Library, which remains unaltered.

This public consultation runs for six weeks between Monday 7 April and Monday 19 May 2025.
